SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
20 ILCS 3005/7.3 new

    Amends the Governor's Office of Management and Budget Act. Provides that, by January 1 of each year, the Office shall submit an economic and fiscal policy report to the General Assembly. The report must outline the long-term economic and fiscal policy objectives of the State, the economic and fiscal policy intentions for the upcoming fiscal year, and the economic and fiscal policy intentions for the following 2 fiscal years. The report must highlight the total level of revenue, expenditure, deficit or surplus, and debt with respect to each of the reporting categories. The report must be posted on the Office's Internet website and allow members of the public to post comments concerning the report. Effective immediately.

1     AN ACT concerning State government.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Governor's Office of Management and Budget
5 Act is amended by adding Section 7.3 as follows:
 
6     (20 ILCS 3005/7.3 new)
7     Sec. 7.3. Annual economic and fiscal policy report. By
8 January 1 of each year, the Governor's Office of Management and
9 Budget shall submit an economic and fiscal policy report to the
10 General Assembly. The report must outline the long-term
11 economic and fiscal policy objectives of the State, the
12 economic and fiscal policy intentions for the upcoming fiscal
13 year, and the economic and fiscal policy intentions for the
14 following 2 fiscal years. The report must highlight the total
15 level of revenue, expenditure, deficit or surplus, and debt
16 with respect to each of the reporting categories. The report

19     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
20 becoming law.
