| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 |
| Representatives are pleased to congratulate the Hinsdale | 4 |
| Central Red Devils Girls Tennis Team on winning the 2009 | 5 |
| Illinois State High School Association (IHSA) State | 6 |
| Championship; and
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, The matches were moved indoors after weather | 8 |
| forced the change; the location change only allowed the | 9 |
| Hinsdale team the chance to capture their fourth straight State | 10 |
| Championship and the IHSA-record 12th team title overall; and
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, Central won the tournament with 32 total points, | 12 |
| beating Deerfield; their season record was 25-0, including the | 13 |
| West Suburban Conference, IHSA Sectionals, and IHSA team | 14 |
| titles; and
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, Singles players on the State championship team | 16 |
| were seniors Nida Hamilton and Hanna Mar (tied for 7th place), | 17 |
| doubles players were Kristy Hamilton and Marika Cusick, who | 18 |
| placed 4th in the State, and the doubles team of Anne Lombardi | 19 |
| and Julia Quintero, who tied for 9th place in the doubles | 20 |
| competition; and
| 21 |
| WHEREAS, The Head Coach is Jerilyn Scardina; the assistant |

| coaches are Robin Kramer, Susan Lapinski, and Corky King; and

| WHEREAS, The members of the Red Devils are Marika Cusick, | 3 |
| Kristy Hamilton, Nida Hamilton, Anne Lombardi, Hanna Mar, and | 4 |
| Julia Quintero; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | 6 |
| NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | 7 |
| congratulate the Red Devils and wish them continued success in | 8 |
| the future; and be it further
| 9 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 10 |
| presented to the Hinsdale Central Red Devils Girls Tennis Team | 11 |
| as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
