| AN ACT concerning employment.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Workers' Compensation Act is amended by |
| 5 |
| changing Section 19.1 as follows:
|

| Sec. 19.1.
The
The time within which any act is required to |

| be performed under
any of the provisions of this Act shall be |
| 9 |
| computed by excluding the first
day and including the last, |
| 10 |
| unless the last day is Saturday, Sunday or is a
holiday as |
| 11 |
| defined or fixed in any statute now or hereafter in force in
|
| 12 |
| this State, and then such days shall also be excluded. If the |
| 13 |
| day
succeeding such holiday is also a holiday then such |
| 14 |
| succeeding day shall
also be excluded. |
