| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 |
| learn of the death of Robert Lewis Stovall of Chicago, who | 4 |
| passed away on August 2, 2009; and
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, He was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on October 29, | 6 |
| 1932, and grew up in Stovall, Mississippi; he graduated from | 7 |
| Lawrenceville School in 1951, and received his B.A. in American | 8 |
| Studies from Vale College in 1955; and
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, He had a successful career in real estate in | 10 |
| Dallas and Chicago; and
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his brothers, William | 12 |
| Howard Stovall, III and Matthew Carter Stovall; and
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, Robert Lewis Stovall is survived by his sister, | 14 |
| Marie Stovall Webster and her husband, William A. Webster, Jr.; | 15 |
| his sister-in-law, Nancy Gilmore Stovall, wife of his brother | 16 |
| Carter; his daughter, Marcy Tench Stovall and her husband, Jim | 17 |
| Farnam, and their children, Zachary and Elsa Rose; his | 18 |
| daughter, Gavin Stovall Mullen and her husband, Michael M. | 19 |
| Mullen, and their children, Anne, Jack, Claire, and Matt; his | 20 |
| daughter, Louise Stovall Holden and her husband, Mark V. | 21 |
| Holden, and their children, Molly, Clay, Kate, and Michael; his |

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL | 6 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | 7 |
| his family and friends, the passing of Robert Stovall; and be | 8 |
| it further
| 9 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 10 |
| presented to the family of Robert Stovall as a symbol of our | 11 |
| sincere sympathy.
