| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 |
| learn of the death of
Robert E. Clark of Waukegan and Lake | 4 |
| Forest, who passed away on July 23, 2009; and
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Robert Clark was born on November 3, 1942, in | 6 |
| Waukegan; and
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, Robert Clark served his country with pride and | 8 |
| distinction as a member of the United States Army from 1965 to | 9 |
| 1967; and
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, Robert Clark retired from U.S. Gypsum after 25 | 11 |
| years of dedicated service; he later worked for the Chicago | 12 |
| Convention and Tourism Bureau; and
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, Robert Clark was a member of St. Anastasia Church | 14 |
| of Waukegan; and
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, Robert Clark enjoyed traveling, reading a good | 16 |
| book, and watching a sunset in Door County, Wisconsin; his | 17 |
| travels took him to New Orleans, California, Florida, Hawaii, | 18 |
| the Bahamas, and Europe; and | 19 |
| WHEREAS, Robert Clark was preceded in death by his father, |

| Walter Clark; his mother, Mildred Lorts; his step-father, Roy | 2 |
| Lorts; and his brother, John; and
| 3 |
| WHEREAS, Robert Clark is survived by his wife of 45 years, | 4 |
| Lucille; his niece (who was like a daughter), Karen (Robert) | 5 |
| Serkowski; his siblings, Frank (Ann) Clark, Sue (Karl) Miklas, | 6 |
| and Karen Clark; his in-laws, Andrew Hebior, Theresa Zdanowicz, | 7 |
| Eugene (Patricia) Hebior, Daniel Hebior, and Donna Hebior; and | 8 |
| his many nieces, nephews, and friends; therefore, be it
| 9 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL | 10 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | 11 |
| his family and friends, the passing of Robert E. Clark; and be | 12 |
| it further
| 13 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 14 |
| presented to the family of Robert Clark as an expression of our | 15 |
| sympathy.
