| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Cowden Police Officer Jeremy J. Hubbard | 4 | | of Watson, who was killed in the line of duty on August 10, | 5 | | 2010; and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, He was born October 8, 1975, in Effingham; he | 7 | | married Trisha Willenborg on May 16, 1998, in Effingham; he was | 8 | | a part-time sheriff's deputy for Effingham County and a | 9 | | part-time police officer for the village of Cowden; he also was | 10 | | a full-time painter and worked for Effingham Truck Sales; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, He was a devoted husband and father; he loved | 12 | | hunting, a passion he passed on to his sons; he also enjoyed | 13 | | fishing, camping, riding motorcycles and four-wheelers, | 14 | | anything that let him spend time outdoors with his wife and | 15 | | sons; he also enjoyed taxidermy and restoring cars; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, He volunteered to help coach his son's baseball | 17 | | team, and also volunteered for K-9 search and rescue; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Jeremy Hubbard was preceded in death by his | 19 | | brother, James Durham; his grandfather, Wes Hubbard; and his | 20 | | grandparents, Ray and Claudia Cole; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Jeremy Hubbard is survived by his wife, Trisha; | 2 | | his two sons, Dylan and Jordan Hubbard; his mother, Paula Rae | 3 | | Johnson; his sister, Julia (Matt) Poulter; his grandmother, | 4 | | Jean Hubbard; and his in-laws, Paul and Deb Willenborg; | 5 | | therefore, be it
| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL | 7 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | 8 | | his family, friends, and the people that he served and | 9 | | protected, the passing of Officer Jeremy Hubbard; and be it | 10 | | further
| 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 12 | | presented to the family of Officer Jeremy Hubbard as a symbol | 13 | | of our sincere sympathy.
