2 AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 267 on page 2, line
3 10, after the period, by inserting "A county may not opt out of
4 any tax increase under this Section if the proceeds are pledged
5 through a formally adopted 3-year or more county highway
6 improvement program or for public safety purposes.".
