AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1971

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1971 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the following:

"Section 5. The Mechanics Lien Act is amended by changing Section 6 as follows:

(770 ILCS 60/6) (from Ch. 82, par. 6)

Sec. 6. In no event shall it be necessary to fix or stipulate in any contract a time for the completion or a time for payment in order to obtain a lien under this act, provided, that the work is done or material furnished within one year three years from the completion commencement of said work or the completion commencement of furnishing said material.
