| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Robert J. "Bob" Maluska, Sr. formerly of | 4 | | North Chicago, who passed away on June 10, 2011; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, He was born January 15, 1948 to the late Edward P. | 6 | | Maluska, Sr. and Victoria (Kasper) Maluska; he was always a | 7 | | hard working man and he made sure his family was taken care of; | 8 | | he was a firefighter for the North Chicago Fire Department and | 9 | | then followed his entrepreneurial dream of opening his own | 10 | | business, Maluska's Lanes Bowling Alley; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, He worked for the Illinois State Tollway for many | 12 | | years; in his free time his hobbies included body and fender, | 13 | | auto mechanics, painting cars, "Scoopin the Loop" in his 1966 | 14 | | Cadillac, fishing, playing golf, listening to Elvis, | 15 | | traveling, a good cup of coffee, and most of all playing | 16 | | Cribbage; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, He was happily married to Chyrel E. Maluska; he | 18 | | was the loving father of 5 children, Darlene (Rick) Contino, | 19 | | Robert J. (Trisha) Jr., Lori Maluska-Staben, Christine | 20 | | (Stefan) Maluska-Rachev, and Chyrel L. (Raul) Rivera; he was | 21 | | the proud grandfather of 14 grandchildren that he adored, Lori, | 22 | | Allie, Christy, Ashlin, Katiana, Noel, Nadia, Nikolas, Stefan |

| 1 | | Jr., Giana, Nina, Dominic, Mary, and Esteban; he also held a | 2 | | special place in his heart for his eldest granddaughter, Lori | 3 | | Danielle, for all the care and compassion she provided; he is | 4 | | also survived by his sister, Lorraine Glasscock; and his | 5 | | brother, Edward P. (Dolly) Maluska Jr.; as well as many nieces | 6 | | and nephews; therefore, be it
| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | 8 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | 9 | | his family and friends, the passing of Robert J. "Bob" Maluska, | 10 | | Sr.; and be it further
| 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 12 | | presented to the family of Robert J. "Bob" Maluska, Sr. as a | 13 | | symbol of our sincere sympathy.
