| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Emily Jean Hensley of Belleville, | 4 | | formerly of Cahokia, who passed away on June 10, 2011; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, She was born on March 16, 1929 in Illmo, Missouri; | 6 | | she was a homemaker and a life-long member of Mount Calvary | 7 | | Lutheran Church in Cahokia; her family, friends, and her | 8 | | companion of 15 years, her dog Rascal, brought interminable | 9 | | light and joy into her life, and they will remember her for the | 10 | | special times they shared; she had a sweet and kind heart and a | 11 | | passion for animals; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Emily was preceded in death by the love of her | 13 | | life, her dear husband of 54 years, Harold Willis Hensley, whom | 14 | | she married as a teenager in 1946; her beloved daughter, | 15 | | Elizabeth "Libby" Sander; and her life-long best friends, | 16 | | Herman and Virginia Sander; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Emily Jean Hensley is survived by her cherished | 18 | | son, Mark Hensley and his wife, Lois; her son-in-law, Stan | 19 | | Sander; her grandchildren and their spouses, Robert (Anna) | 20 | | Sander, Amy (Chuck) Kelley, Mallory (Ryan) Duncan, and Michael | 21 | | Hensley; her great-grandchildren, Victoria Emily, Matthew, and | 22 | | Andrew Kelley, and Logan and Joshua Sander; her "adopted |

| 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | 6 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | 7 | | her family and friends, the passing of Emily Jean Hensley; and | 8 | | be it further
