| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Rudolph T. "Rudy" Sepich of Canton, who | 4 | | passed away on November 20, 2011; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, He was born on September 12, 1924, in Canton to | 6 | | Mathew and Frances (Kosir) Sepich; he married Linda L. Ashby in | 7 | | Canton on May 15, 1948; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, He was a United States Army veteran of World War | 9 | | II and a member of Canton American Legion Post No. 16; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in | 11 | | Canton and was active as a coach in its basketball and baseball | 12 | | programs; he was retired from the International Harvester | 13 | | Company in Canton and was formerly the president of UAW Local | 14 | | No. 1357 and the UAW Retirees Club; he was formerly a member of | 15 | | the Canton Country Club and the Croatian Fraternal Union; he | 16 | | had been commissioner of the Canton Park District softball and | 17 | | baseball leagues and served as an official for all high school | 18 | | sports; and he was inducted into the Spoon River College Hall | 19 | | of Fame for his contribution to coaching; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; | 21 | | 10 brothers and 2 sisters; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Rudolph Sepich is survived by his children, Melani | 2 | | Sepich, Toni (Paul) Dillefeld, Judie (Dan) Thompson, David | 3 | | "Catt" (Linda) Sepich, Andrew (Ruth) Sepich, Paul (Annette) | 4 | | Sepich, and Bill Sepich; his grandchildren, Dennis, Jeremy, | 5 | | Chad, Jill, Amy, Brandon, Andy, Brian, Kelly, and Erika; his 16 | 6 | | great-grandchildren; and his sister, Josephine Beaird; | 7 | | therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | 10 | | his family and friends, the passing of Rudolph Sepich; and be | 11 | | it further
| 12 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 13 | | presented to the family of Rudolph Sepich as a symbol of our | 14 | | sincere sympathy.
