| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of
Michael Patrick Dentino of Peoria, who | 4 | | passed away on December 14, 2011; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Michael Dentino was born on October 3, 1930, in | 6 | | Peoria; he was the son of Michael and Arnita (Barto) Dentino; | 7 | | he married Margaret C. Crowley on October 23, 1954, at St. Mark | 8 | | Catholic Church in Peoria; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Michael Dentino earned his bachelors degree in | 10 | | chemical engineering from the University of Notre Dame, | 11 | | graduating magna cum laude; he was also a varsity letterman on | 12 | | the Notre Dame fencing team and was named the University of | 13 | | Notre Dame (Peoria Chapter) Man of the Year in 1973; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Michael Dentino was employed in various | 15 | | managerial positions with Caterpillar Inc.; he retired as | 16 | | Caterpillar's Manager of U.S. Sales Support after 33 years of | 17 | | service; he then served as the Vice President of Sales for | 18 | | Gibbs-Cook Equipment Company in Des Moines and served on the | 19 | | board of directors for Aggregate Equipment & Supply Company in | 20 | | East Peoria; and | 21 | | WHEREAS, Michael Dentino served as vice president of the |

| 1 | | Bradley University Leadership Development Center and as the | 2 | | adjunct professor of comedy at Bradley; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Michael Dentino was an active member of the Peoria | 4 | | Players Theatre, CAT Chorus, Conklin's Dinner Theatre, | 5 | | Zellmer's Dinner Theatre, Peoria Ballet, Tazwood Dance | 6 | | Company, and Peoria Corn Stock Theatre, where he was a charter | 7 | | member; he also served on the Chagrin Falls Little Theatre | 8 | | Board and the Planning Committee for the National Comedy Hall | 9 | | of Fame; and | 10 | | WHEREAS, Michael Dentino was a parishioner of St. Thomas | 11 | | the Apostle Catholic Church in Peoria Heights and was a lector | 12 | | at both St. Thomas and St. Mark Catholic Church in Peoria; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Michael Dentino was preceded in death by his wife, | 14 | | Margaret; his parents; and his sister, Dianna Basso; and | 15 | | WHEREAS, Michael Dentino is survived by his children, | 16 | | Michael III (Debra Duzinskas), Deirdre (Gregory) Clemons, | 17 | | Domine (John) King, Dianna (John Gielow), Dr. Andrew (Monica), | 18 | | D'Arcy Conley, Matthew, Father Darren, Douglas (Terilyn), and | 19 | | Dr. Daniel Dentino; his sisters, Grace Kelly and Sue O'Donnell; | 20 | | his brothers, Dr. Mauro Dentino, Verne Dentino, and Vernon | 21 | | Dentino; his 35 grandchildren; and his great-grandson; | 22 | | therefore, be it
