SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of William Joseph McGhee of West Frankfort,
4who passed away on January 9, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, He was born June 29, 1931, to William and Lola
6(Kinsel) McGhee in West Frankfort; he married Mary Sue Calvert;
7and
 
8    WHEREAS, He was a loving husband, father and grandfather,
9retired coal miner, and United Mine Workers Association member;
10he was in the Army National Guard; and
 
11    WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; his
12daughter, Peggy Downs; his sisters and brothers-in-law,
13Patricia and Tom Mckie and Mary and Ed Waggener; his sisters,
14Delores, Katherine, and Margaret McGhee; and his
15sisters-in-law, Margaret and Patsy McGhee; and
 
16    WHEREAS, William McGhee is survived by his wife of 60
17years, Mary Sue McGhee; his daughters, Nancy Seibert, Sally and
18Alan Watson, Rosemary and Steve Elam, Theresa and Dan Grant,
19Pricilla and Steve Matlie, and Bridget and James Herrell; his
20sons, Christopher McGhee and Matt McGhee; his sisters,
21Josephine and Carl Conaughty and Elizabeth and Paul Culpepper;

1his brothers, James McGhee and John McGhee; his nieces and
2nephews; and his 20 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren;
3therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
6his family and friends, the passing of William McGhee; and be
7it further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of William McGhee as a symbol of our
10sincere sympathy.
