| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of
Dorothy Glee Crossett, who passed away on | 4 | | November 4, 2011; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Dorothy Crossett was born on July 14, 1913, in | 6 | | McIntire, Iowa; her parents were John and Dora Gabby; she was a | 7 | | longtime former resident of Hinsdale and later lived in | 8 | | Lombard, at the Beacon Hill Retirement Home; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Dorothy Crossett was valedictorian of her | 10 | | graduating class at Osage High School in Iowa; she then | 11 | | graduated with honors from The University of Minnesota's | 12 | | Carlson School of Business; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Dorothy Crossett was employed as The First | 14 | | National Bank of Hinsdale (later Harris Bank Hinsdale) for 37 | 15 | | years; she retired as the bank's Executive Vice President in | 16 | | 1989; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Dorothy Crossett was a member of The Union Church | 18 | | of Hinsdale and was an active participant with the Hinsdale | 19 | | Woman's Club and the Women's Business and Professional | 20 | | Organization; she also participated actively on many | 21 | | committees and projects while living at Beacon Hill; and |

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Dorothy Crossett was preceded in death by her | 2 | | husband, James Crossett; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Dorothy Crossett is survived by her daughter, | 4 | | Carole Crossett Pyle-Weaver (Frank); her granddaughter, Julie | 5 | | Pyle (Jeff) Ryan; her grandson, Randy (Elizabeth) Pyle; and her | 6 | | grandchildren, Corey, Connor, Cullen, and Caitlin Ryan and | 7 | | Andrew, Mary Katharine, Luke, and James Pyle; therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | 10 | | her family and friends, the passing of Dorothy Glee Crossett; | 11 | | and be it further
| 12 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 13 | | presented to the family of Dorothy Crossett as an expression of | 14 | | our sympathy.
