SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Gregory W. Swierk of Harrisburg, who passed away on February 29, 2012; and

WHEREAS, He was born January 6, 1962, in Chicago; he was the son of Gregory and Joan Welch Swierk; and

WHEREAS, He served his country with pride and distinction as a member of the United States Army; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Gregory Swierk is survived by his sons, Matthew Swierk and Michael Swierk, and his best friend, Joe Potts; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Gregory W. Swierk; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Gregory Swierk as an expression of our sympathy.
