| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of
Leonard C. "Len" Dreas of Sugar Grove, | 4 | | who passed away on November 3, 2012; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Leonard Dreas was born on April 13, 1938, in | 6 | | Chicago; he was the son of the late Stanley and Gertrude | 7 | | (Grzeskiewicz) Dreas; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Leonard Dreas grew up in Lasalle-Peru and attended | 9 | | Saint Bede Academy; after serving his country as a member of | 10 | | the United States Air Force, he joined Rempe-Sharpe & | 11 | | Associates before joining Bill Kearney's civil engineering | 12 | | firm; in 1967, he and Ted Bergeson formed the partnership of | 13 | | Bergeson and Dreas and served as consulting civil engineers; | 14 | | over the years, the company worked on many notable projects in | 15 | | the Fox Valley area, including the Prestbury subdivision on | 16 | | Aurora's far west side; Mr. Dreas continued to run the company, | 17 | | Leonard Dreas and Associates, until his retirement in 2006; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Leonard Dreas enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, | 19 | | and traveling with his wife; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Leonard Dreas is survived by his loving wife, | 21 | | Patricia E. Dreas; his sons, Michael (Robin) Dreas, Cary |

| 1 | | (Janene) Hatteberg, and Kim (Laura) Hatteberg; his | 2 | | grandchildren, Cody Hatteberg, Danny Hatteberg, and Jack | 3 | | Hatteberg; his brother, Conrad (Orlies) Dreas; his many nieces | 4 | | and nephews; and his many friends; therefore, be it
| 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | 6 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | 7 | | his family and friends, the passing of Leonard C. "Len" Dreas; | 8 | | and be it further
