| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Mary Jane Rudd Rimbey, who passed away on | 4 | | November 29, 2012; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Mary Jane Rimbey was born on July 18, 1927, in | 6 | | Decatur; her parents were Alfred Clayton Sr. and Estella Jane | 7 | | Pollock Rudd; she married Hardin Lee Rimbey on November 28, | 8 | | 1948, in Jacksonville; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Mary Jane Rimbey was a graduate of Springfield | 10 | | High School and the Memorial Hospital School of Nursing; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Mary Jane Rimbey served as a registered nurse for | 12 | | 50 years before her retirement in 1997; during her career, she | 13 | | served as the Director of the Visiting Nurses Association of | 14 | | Morgan and Scott Counties; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Mary Jane Rimbey was a member of the Murrayville | 16 | | United Methodist Church and implemented the Parish Nurse | 17 | | program at the church; she was also a member of the Illinois | 18 | | Home Care Council; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Mary Jane Rimbey never lost interest in learning | 20 | | and kept her mind active by researching health interests on the |

| 1 | | Internet; she also enjoyed staying active on Facebook with her | 2 | | grandchildren, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, cooking and | 3 | | baking, and spending time with her family and friends; and | 4 | | WHEREAS, Mary Jane Rimbey was preceded in death by her | 5 | | husband and her brother, Alfred Clayton Rudd Jr.; and | 6 | | WHEREAS, Mary Jane Rimbey is survived by her daughters, | 7 | | Peggy (William) Zachary Jr. and Linda (Christopher) Wheal; her | 8 | | sons, Fred (Deborah) Rimbey and Cliff (Debbie) Rimbey; her | 9 | | grandchildren, Amy (Lance) Reynolds, Joshua Wheal, and Sarah | 10 | | (Joe) Hunt; her great-grandchildren, Stella and Zachary | 11 | | Reynolds; and her dear friends, Ellen Tarzwell, Nellie Tendick, | 12 | | Martha Joseph, and Totty Blimling; therefore, be it
| 13 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | 14 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | 15 | | her family and friends, the passing of Mary Jane Rimbey; and be | 16 | | it further
| 17 | | RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be | 18 | | presented to the family of Mary Jane Rudd Rimbey as an | 19 | | expression of our sympathy.
