AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2809

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2809 on page 18, by replacing lines 7 through 23 with the following:

"(1) Except for children placed with relatives by the Department of Children and Family Services pursuant to subsection (b) of Section 7 of the Children and Family Services Act, placements under this Act shall comply with the Child Care Act of 1969 and the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children. Placements of children born outside the United States or a territory thereof shall comply with rules promulgated by the United States Department of Immigration and Naturalization."; and

on page 21, by deleting lines 19 through 26; and

on page 22, by deleting lines 1 through 3; and

on page 22, line 4, by changing "(5)" to "(4)"; and

on page 22, by deleting lines 10 through 24.
