AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3944

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 3944 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the following:

"Section 5. The Board of Higher Education Act is amended by adding Section 8.5 as follows:

(110 ILCS 205/8.5 new)

Sec. 8.5. Capital appropriation release; facility renovations at universities. With regard to a release made on or after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 98th General Assembly for a capital appropriation for new construction only, 10% of that appropriation release for a public university must be devoted exclusively to facility renovation at that particular university.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.".
