AMENDMENT TO HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION 40

AMENDMENT NO. ___. Amend House Joint Resolution 40 on page 1, line 12, by replacing "insure" with "ensure"; and

on page 5, by replacing line 3 with the following:

"appointments are finalized; in the event that any appointment by the Governor upon the recommendation of an non-profit organization that promotes civic engagement and advocates on behalf of immigrant communities through a coalition of member organizations that serve Latino, Asian, African, Arab and European immigrants or any appointment by the Governor upon the recommendation of an non-profit organization that promotes civic engagement among Asian American communities and advocates on behalf of Asian American communities through its Pan-Asian coalition"; and

on page 5, line 4, by replacing "are" with "is".
