| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are pleased to congratulate Lillian Pagni on | 4 | | the occasion of receiving the Altrusa International Club of | 5 | | Elgin, Inc., Woman of the Year 2013 Award; and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Lillian Pagni exemplifies the Altrusa Keys of | 7 | | Amity, Loyalty, Talent, Reciprocity, Unity, Service, and | 8 | | Achievement; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Lillian Pagni is a member of the Fine Line | 10 | | Creative Art Center in St. Charles, where she exhibits her | 11 | | Tuscany landscapes and life-like animal kingdom inspired | 12 | | pastel oil artwork; she hosts and sponsors a plein-air painting | 13 | | event on the grounds of her home, where artists enjoy the | 14 | | camaraderie, energy, and creativity of being together and | 15 | | capture the beauty of nature; she is also a member of the | 16 | | national Oil Pastel Society; her stunning painting of Mother | 17 | | Theresa has been used by the hospital as a focal point of a | 18 | | greeting card; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Lillian Pagni has extended her talents and | 20 | | leadership outside of the Elgin community as well; she has | 21 | | donated her works of art to worthy causes, including donating | 22 | | her beloved painting of the late Walter Payton to the Walter |

| 1 | | and Connie Payton Foundation for Children; her paintings of | 2 | | Michael Jordan, Mike Singletary, Frank Thomas, and Tiger Woods | 3 | | have all been donated to children's charities; she has served | 4 | | as a chair of numerous fund-raising activities at Provena Saint | 5 | | Joseph Hospital and was the recipient of the hospital's | 6 | | prestigious DOVE Award for demonstrating outstanding values, | 7 | | leadership, and excellence in 2005; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Lillian Pagni has demonstrated many significant | 9 | | achievements in the arts and several of her achievements have | 10 | | benefited Elgin and the surrounding Fox Valley Community | 11 | | greatly; therefore, be it
| 12 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | 13 | | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | 14 | | we congratulate Lillian Pagni on the occasion of receiving the | 15 | | Altrusa International Club of Elgin, Inc., Woman of the Year | 16 | | 2013 Award and wish her all the best in her future endeavors; | 17 | | and be it further
