6 | | WHEREAS, The Blackhawks started the shortened season by |

in 24 consecutive |
8 | | games to start the season, 21 of which were wins, giving them a |
9 | | lead in the
Western Conference that was never overtaken; and

10 | | WHEREAS, With a record of 36-7-5, the Blackhawks won the |
11 | | President's Trophy for the second time in
franchise history, |
12 | | for the best regular season record in the league and earned |
13 | | home-ice advantage
throughout the playoffs; and |
14 | | WHEREAS, The Blackhawks defeated the Minnesota Wild in 5 |
15 | | games in the first round of the playoffs; and |
16 | | WHEREAS, In the second round of the playoffs, the |
17 | | Blackhawks faced longtime rivals, the Detroit
Redwings; they |
18 | | trailed the Redwings 3 games to one before completing a

19 | | historic comeback with an overtime win in game 7 of the series; |

5 | | WHEREAS, Game one of the Stanley Cup Finals was the fifth |
