2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Robert A. |
4 | | Hadank of Peoria, who passed away on November 9, 2013; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Robert Hadank was born on November 21, 1917 in |
6 | | Peoria; his parents were Frank E. and Elizabeth (nee McLinden) |
7 | | Hadank; he married Mary Lucile Burns on June 14, 1941 at St. |
8 | | Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin; she passed away on April 11, |
9 | | 1995 in Peoria; he then married Joann Semelroth in 1999; and
|
10 | | WHEREAS, Robert Hadank graduated from the Spalding |
11 | | Institute in 1953; he subsequently attended Bradley |
12 | | University; and
|
13 | | WHEREAS, Robert Hadank served his country as a member of |
14 | | the United States Army's 4th Armored Division during World War |
15 | | II, having attained the rank of sergeant; and
|
16 | | WHEREAS, Robert Hadank was employed as a planning analyst |
17 | | at Caterpillar in Mossville until his retirement after 36 years |
18 | | of service; and
|
19 | | WHEREAS, Robert Hadank was a member of St. Thomas Catholic |
20 | | Church in Peoria Heights; he was also a member of the Illinois |

1 | | Valley Antique Auto Club, the Heart of Illinois Volkswagen |
2 | | Club, American Legion Post 2, AMVETS National, and the Mt. |

4 | | WHEREAS, Robert Hadank was preceded in death by his first |
5 | | wife, Mary; 2 grandchildren; his brother; and his sister; and
|
6 | | WHEREAS, Robert Hadank is survived by his wife, Joann; his |
7 | | daughter, Carol (Joseph) Volpe; his grandchildren, Sean |
8 | | (Ketra), Christian (Donelle), David (Heidi), James (Heather), |
9 | | and Sue; his 11 great-grandchildren; his 3 |
10 | | great-great-grandchildren; and his stepchildren, Julie (Jim) |
11 | | and Kent (Tammy); therefore, be it

12 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
13 | | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
14 | | we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of |
15 | | Robert A. Hadank; and be it further

16 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
17 | | presented to the family of Robert Hadank as an expression of |
18 | | our sympathy.
