| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Dorothy | 4 | | Cameron-Humphreys of Chicago; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Dorothy Cameron-Humphreys was born on December 6, | 6 | | 1945 in Ramer, Alabama to the late Samuel and Mable Thomas; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Dorothy Cameron-Humphreys received her | 8 | | certification as a medical transcriptionist and spent the | 9 | | majority of her career as the Insurance Secretary for the | 10 | | prestigious orthopedic surgeon group William J. Kane and | 11 | | Associates; she enjoyed going to church and attended | 12 | | Chatham-Avalon Church of Christ, where she served as a faithful | 13 | | member under the leadership of Dr. Daniel Harrison; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Dorothy Cameron-Humphreys and her loving husband, | 15 | | Lorenzie Humphreys, celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary | 16 | | in December of 2013; after retiring, she enjoyed her life as a | 17 | | wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Dorothy Cameron-Humphreys is survived by her | 19 | | loving husband, Lorenzie; her children, Meleneal Cameron, | 20 | | Theresa (Robert) Neal, William (Lauren) Cameron, and Shawneen | 21 | | (Stephen) Olsen; her sisters, Gladys Thomas and Hula Bernard |

| 4 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | 5 | | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | 6 | | we mourn the passing of Dorothy Cameron-Humphreys and extend | 7 | | our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who | 8 | | knew and loved her; and be it further
| 9 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 10 | | presented to the family of Dorothy Cameron-Humphreys as an | 11 | | expression of our deepest sympathy.
