AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2758

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2758 on page 5, by replacing lines 8 through 15 with the following:

"(e) Each appointment by the Governor shall be subject to the advice and consent of the Senate. In case of a vacancy during a recess of the Senate, the Governor shall make a temporary appointment until the next meeting of the Senate, at which time the Governor shall nominate some person to fill the office. Any nomination not acted upon by the Senate within 60 session days after the receipt thereof shall be deemed to have received the advice and consent of the Senate.".
