| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Jean Wehrli Kuhn, who passed away on June | 4 | | 12, 2013; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jean Kuhn was born on September 24, 1949, to Frank | 6 | | and Gertrude Wehrli; she was raised in Naperville and attended | 7 | | Ss. Peter and Paul School and graduated from Naperville | 8 | | Community High School in 1947; she married Bob Kuhn in | 9 | | September 1952; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Jean Kuhn was an active volunteer in the Catholic | 11 | | Daughters of the Americas, at the Edward Hines, Jr. Veterans | 12 | | Administration Hospital, at Ss. Peter and Paul Church and | 13 | | School, at Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity Soup Kitchen | 14 | | in Chicago, at the Naperville Heritage Society, and with Little | 15 | | Friends; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Jean Kuhn's favorite place to be was Centennial | 17 | | Beach; affectionately known as one of the "Beach Bums", she | 18 | | could be found playing cards up on the hill or taking a dip in | 19 | | the water; she enjoyed the quality time with family the beach | 20 | | provided and it was the highlight of every summer; and | 21 | | WHEREAS, Jean Kuhn also enjoyed genealogy, history, golf, |

| 1 | | antiquing, reading, and travel; and
| 2 | | WHEREAS, Jean Kuhn was preceded in death by her husband of | 3 | | 56 years, Bob; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Jean Kuhn was a mother of 9, a grandmother of 18, | 5 | | and a great-grandmother of 4; therefore, be it
| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 7 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 8 | | Jean Wehrli Kuhn, and extend our sincere condolences to her | 9 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 10 | | further
| 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 12 | | presented to the family of Jean Kuhn as an expression of our | 13 | | deepest sympathy.
