| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Joseph Franklin Bolin, M.D., who passed | 4 | | away on September 17, 2013; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Bolin was born on September 10, 1942 in | 6 | | Denver, Colorado; his parents were Charles and Freeda Bolin; he | 7 | | married Janette Unterbrink on April 30, 1966; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Bolin grew up in the St. Louis area; he | 9 | | graduated from Edwardsville High School in 1960 and from the | 10 | | St. Louis College of Pharmacy; after graduation, he worked as a | 11 | | pharmacist at a number of pharmacies for 5 years, including | 12 | | Ricci's Pharmacy in Bethalto, before deciding to study medicine | 13 | | at Chicago Medical School, where he graduated in 1974; he later | 14 | | completed his residency at the Southern Illinois University | 15 | | School of Medicine in Springfield and his fellowship at St. | 16 | | Louis University Medical School; and | 17 | | WHEREAS, After completing his medical education, Joseph | 18 | | Bolin practiced at Central Illinois Allergy and Respiratory | 19 | | Clinic in Springfield from 1978 until the early 1990s; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Bolin enjoyed golf, bird hunting, and | 21 | | fishing; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Bolin was preceded in death by his | 2 | | children, Brent Charles and Laura Elizabeth Bolin, and his | 3 | | parents; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Bolin is survived by his wife, Janette | 5 | | Bolin; his daughters, Jessica (Derek) Moss and Amanda Bolin; | 6 | | his sisters, Mary (John) Smith and Linda (Darrell) Pape; his | 7 | | grandchildren, Leighton and Olivia Moore; and his many nieces | 8 | | and nephews; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | 11 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Joseph Franklin Bolin, | 12 | | M.D.; and be it further
| 13 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 14 | | presented to the family of Joseph Bolin as an expression of our | 15 | | sympathy.
