| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Bert W. Farm of McHenry, who passed away | 4 | | on October 29, 2013; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Bert Farm was born on January 3, 1922 in Chicago | 6 | | to John A. and Anna (nee Manthei) Farm; he married Betty | 7 | | Hinrichs in Chicago on September 4, 1948; he served his country | 8 | | in the United States Army during World War II in the Medical | 9 | | Corps; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Bert Farm worked for Crane Manufacturing Company | 11 | | in Chicago following the war; he and his wife moved to McHenry | 12 | | in 1948 and he worked for Morton Chemical in Ringwood and | 13 | | Chicago; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Bert Farm was a longtime member of Shepherd of the | 15 | | Hills Lutheran Church in McHenry, where he served on the Church | 16 | | Council for 6 years and could regularly be seen helping in and | 17 | | around the church wherever he could; he enjoyed traveling, | 18 | | family vacations, and puttering around his home; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Bert Farm was preceded in death by his parents; | 20 | | his wife, Betty; his brother, Charles Farm; his sister, Janet | 21 | | Farm Fuchs; his niece, Charlene Jensen; and his nephew, Allan |

| 2 | | WHEREAS, Bert Farm is survived by his children, Lynn Farm | 3 | | and Susan (Glen) Heumann, and his grandchildren, Eric (Claire) | 4 | | Heumann and Ryan Heumann; therefore, be it
| 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 6 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 7 | | Bert W. Farm, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, | 8 | | friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
| 9 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 10 | | presented to the family of Bert Farm as an expression of our | 11 | | deepest sympathy.
