| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Elizabeth J. Ritt of Crystal Lake, who | 4 | | passed away on November 19, 2013; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Elizabeth Ritt was born on February 19, 1929 in | 6 | | Highland Park; her parents were Norman and Ethel Ring; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Elizabeth Ritt spent her early years in the | 8 | | Antioch and Lake Villa areas and graduated from Antioch High | 9 | | School in 1947; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, After marrying and moving to Crystal Lake, | 11 | | Elizabeth Ritt worked in the offices of Drs. Hillstrom, Bryant, | 12 | | and Wall, as well as Dr. Paul Wilson; she also worked as an | 13 | | admissions coordinator at McHenry County College for many years | 14 | | until 1984; and | 15 | | WHEREAS, Elizabeth Ritt was a creative woman who always had | 16 | | several projects going at one time; she loved cooking, baking, | 17 | | sewing, needlework, and gardening; she also designed and made | 18 | | many banners for Immanuel Lutheran Church; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Elizabeth Ritt was preceded in death by her | 20 | | parents and her brother, Lester Ring; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Elizabeth Ritt is survived by her daughters, | 2 | | Cynthia Ritt (Andy Snarski) and Barbara (Mark) Balasi; her | 3 | | AFS-USA daughter, Ana Maria (Oscar) Pereira; her | 4 | | grandchildren, Geoff Balasi, Maria Balasi, Alexandre Pereira, | 5 | | Ana Paula Pereira, Nicole Snarski, and Alex Snarski; her | 6 | | sisters, Laura Barden, Arvis (George) Nelson, and Aleeta | 7 | | Osmond; her brothers, Edward Ring and Wallace (Vicki) Ring; her | 8 | | ex-husband, Vernon Ritt; her 30 loving nieces and nephews; and | 9 | | many others who refer to her as their "other mother"; | 10 | | therefore, be it
| 11 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 12 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her | 13 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Elizabeth J. Ritt; and | 14 | | be it further
| 15 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 16 | | presented to the family of Elizabeth Ritt as an expression of | 17 | | our sympathy.
