| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Eva J. Szostak of Wadsworth, who passed | 4 | | away on August 24, 2014; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Eva Szostak was born on October 9, 1930; her | 6 | | parents were Anton and Paulina Ivkovcic; she married Ronald A. | 7 | | Stuck in 1949; he preceded her in death in 1977; she married | 8 | | George Szostak in 1979; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Eva Szostak lived most of her life in Waukegan, | 10 | | where she graduated from Mother of God Grade School and Holy | 11 | | Child High School with the Class of 1948; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Eva Szostak was a successful businesswoman in | 13 | | management at Victor Temporaries; she and her second husband | 14 | | were the owners and operators of The Gurnee Country Store and | 15 | | the Homestyle Laundromat until 1997; she also served as the | 16 | | City Clerk of Waukegan from 1977 to 1981; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Eva Szostak was preceded in death by her first | 18 | | husband, Ronald A. Stuck; her brother, George; her parents; her | 19 | | daughter, Janice Stuck-Toso; and her stepson, Thomas Szostak; | 20 | | and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Eva Szostak is survived by her husband, George | 2 | | Szostak; 2 children, Richard Stuck and Ronald (Sandy) Stuck; a | 3 | | sister, Virginia (Jim) Kutzler; her first and special | 4 | | grandchild, Shawn (Sarah) Toso; 3 great-grandchildren, Easton, | 5 | | Gavin, and Calen; 2 special grandchildren, Reid and Rien Stuck; | 6 | | a stepson, William (Debbie) Szostak, their children, Brandy, | 7 | | Sherry, and Johnny, and their grandchildren; a stepson, Terry | 8 | | Szostak; a special niece and nephew, Cheryl (Tim) Kelly and | 9 | | Jimmy (Margaret) Kutzler; a special daughter-in-law, Holly W.; | 10 | | and a grandson, Tommy; therefore, be it
| 11 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 12 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her | 13 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Eva J. Szostak; and be | 14 | | it further
| 15 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 16 | | presented to the family of Eva Szostak as an expression of our | 17 | | sympathy.
