| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Charles W. Kocher, Jr. of McHenry, who | 4 | | passed away on September 26, 2014; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Charles Kocher, Jr. was born in Chicago on June | 6 | | 27, 1935 to Charles W., Sr. and Caroline (nee Bell) Kocher; he | 7 | | married Jeanne Annette Koegel in Chicago on April 28, 1956; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Charles Kocher, Jr. was a transportation | 9 | | specialist in the civil service for the United States military | 10 | | for many years, where he worked at missile sites in and around | 11 | | the Chicago area; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Charles Kocher, Jr. was a train enthusiast and | 13 | | enjoyed model trains and train museums; he enjoyed fishing, | 14 | | camping, and traveling with his family all over the United | 15 | | States; he also enjoyed Ansel Adams black and white landscape | 16 | | photography; he served in the Illinois National Guard for a | 17 | | number of years and was a leader in the Boy Scouts for 5 years | 18 | | with his children; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Charles Kocher, Jr. was preceded in death by his | 20 | | parents and a great-grandchild, Wesley; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Charles Kocher, Jr. is survived by his wife of 58 | 2 | | years, Jeanne; his children, Charles William "Skip" (Daphne) | 3 | | Kocher, Joseph Gerard (Vishiel) Kocher, Gerri Lynn Peot, Carol | 4 | | Patrice Kocher, and Donna Marie (John) Noegel; grandchildren, | 5 | | Christopher Kocher, Brian (Jenny) Alshanski, Scott Alshanski, | 6 | | Kristen Alshanski, Joanna (Eric) Gueller, Matthew Peot, Emily | 7 | | Peot, Christine Peot, and Madeline Kocher; and | 8 | | great-grandchildren, Ryan, T.J., Dylan, Kara, Gram, and Henry; | 9 | | therefore, be it
| 10 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 11 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 12 | | Charles W. Kocher, Jr., and extend our sincere condolences to | 13 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 14 | | further
