| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Theresa E. "Terrie" Hall of Rockford, who | 4 | | passed away on October 30, 2014; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Terrie Hall was born in Rockford on August 8, 1947 | 6 | | to Joseph and Theresa (nee Bernunzio) Gianquinto; she married | 7 | | Dennis "Denny" Hall on September 2, 1967 in Rockford; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Terrie Hall was the former Chief Executive Officer | 9 | | of the Rockford Area Association of REALTORS; she joined the | 10 | | association in 1983 and retired in 2008; she was named | 11 | | association executive in 1998; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Terrie Hall was a 3-term Trustee of the Community | 13 | | Foundation of Northern Illinois and Trustee of the Natural Land | 14 | | Institute; she was a member of the Rotary Club of Rockford and | 15 | | the Rotary Club of the Villages-Noon in Florida; she was also | 16 | | involved with the Midway Village Marketing Committee, the | 17 | | Chance Meeting Investment Club, the Par None Golf Group, the | 18 | | Birdies & Bogies Golf Group, the Guys and Dolls Golf Group, the | 19 | | Rockford Area Economic Development Council, the Rockford Park | 20 | | District Foundation, the Golden Apple Foundation of Rockford, | 21 | | and the Rockford Valley College's Tech Prep and Computer and | 22 | | Information Systems Advisory Committee; other community |

| 1 | | organizations in which she had been active in include the Klehm | 2 | | Arboretum & Botanic Garden, the Sara Ingrassia Jacki Confer | 3 | | Dictionary Fund, the Rockford Area Affordable Housing | 4 | | Coalition, the Rock River Business Development Committee, and | 5 | | numerous local, State and national realtor's organizations; | 6 | | she participated in ALS research studies, including the | 7 | | National ALS Biorepository Pilot Study, the Mayo Clinic | 8 | | Biobank, and immunephenotyping in ALS; she also helped found an | 9 | | ALS support group and worked to help raise money to persuade | 10 | | the local medical community to form an ALS clinic, which opens | 11 | | at Rockford Memorial Hospital in 2015; and | 12 | | WHEREAS, Terrie Hall received the YWCA's Alta Hulett Award | 13 | | and the Rotary Service's Above Self Award; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Terrie Hall was preceded in death by her sister, | 15 | | Virginia Crittenden; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Terrie Hall is survived by her husband, Dennis; | 17 | | her son, Corey (Sophia) Hall; her daughter, Kari (Michael) | 18 | | Govignon; her grandson, Jackson; her granddaughter, Charlotte; | 19 | | her sister, Angie Goral; her brother-in-law, Ole (Pat) | 20 | | Prestegaard; and numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
