| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Jody Lee Alsup-Young of Lindenwood, who | 4 | | passed away on September 21, 2014; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jody Alsup-Young was born in Sandwich on May 30, | 6 | | 1975 to Michael and Barbara (nee Smith) Alsup; she graduated | 7 | | from DeKalb High School in 1993 and the Kishwaukee College | 8 | | Nursing Program and attended Northern Illinois University; she | 9 | | married Scott David Young on October 6, 2012; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Jody Alsup-Young worked as a nurse at the office | 11 | | of Dr. Ignacio Omengan and for the Order of St. Francis of | 12 | | Assissi Saint Anthony Medical Center, both in Rockford; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Jody Alsup-Young enjoyed doing crafts, such as | 14 | | scrapbooking and photography; she was active in her sons' | 15 | | school functions in Lindenwood and volunteered as a technician | 16 | | for infant and child car seats; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Jody Alsup-Young was preceded in death by her | 18 | | paternal grandmother, Mary Alsup-Alvis; maternal grandparents, | 19 | | A. Lee Smith and Virgil Smith; aunt and uncle, Phyllis and Tom | 20 | | Perkins; uncle, Christopher Alsup; and step-grandfather, Clyde | 21 | | Alvis; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Jody Alsup-Young is survived by her husband, | 2 | | Scott; sons, Garrett and Jacob Hackbarth; parents, Mike and | 3 | | Barb Alsup; brother, Michael J. (Jenny) Alsup; 3 nephews and a | 4 | | niece; her paternal grandfather, Joseph Alsup; several aunts, | 5 | | uncles, and cousins; her mother-in-law, Mary Hopp; and 2 | 6 | | sisters-in-law, Stephanie Young and Stacy Young; therefore, be | 7 | | it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 10 | | Jody Lee Alsup-Young, and extend our sincere condolences to her | 11 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 12 | | further
