AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 119

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 119 as follows:

on page 1, lines 4 and 5, by replacing "Sections 10-20.9a and" with "Section"; and

on page 1, line 5, by replacing "Sections 10-20.56 and" with "Section"; and

by deleting line 7 on page 1 through line 17 on page 3; and

on page 6, line 12, after "or", by inserting ", in a school district organized under Article 34 of this Code,"; and

on page 8, by replacing lines 7 through 12 with the following:

"consideration the relevant data and evidence gathered during the Response to Intervention process. The committee may vote to overturn a retention decision if the committee determines that the student should be promoted after examining the student's access to remedial assistance, performance, attendance, and participation and the resources and facilities provided by the school district or due".
