AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 404

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 404 on page 1, line 5, after "11.15", by inserting "and by adding Section 308"; and

on page 1, below line 16, by inserting the following:

"(70 ILCS 2605/308 new)

Sec. 308. District enlarged. Upon the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 99th General Assembly, the corporate limits of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago are extended to include within those corporate limits the following described tracts of land and the tracts are hereby annexed to the District:

Parcel 1:

THAT PART OF THE SOUTH 1/2 OF THE SOUTHWEST 1/4 OF SECTION 28, TOWNSHIP 42 NORTH, RANGE 9, EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, LYING EAST OF THE EAST RIGHT OF WAY LINE OF ELGIN, JOLIET AND EASTERN RAILROAD, IN COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS.

Parcel 2:

THE NORTH 1/2 OF THE NORTHWEST 1/4 OF SECTION 33, TOWNSHIP 42 NORTH, RANGE 9, EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN,(EXCEPT THEREFROM STRIP OFF THE WEST END THEREOF CONVEYED TO JERMIAH H. BROWNING BY DEED RECORDED SEPTEMBER 15TH 1859, AS DOCUMENT 23078 IN BOOK 162, PAGE 619, SAID STRIP BEING THIRTY FOUR AND ONE HALF FEET WIDE AT NORTH END FORTY TWO FEET WIDE AT SOUTH END) IN COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.".
