AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1484

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1484 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the following:

"Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Sections 10-20.56 and 34-18.49 as follows:

(105 ILCS 5/10-20.56 new)

Sec. 10-20.56. Dual enrollment and dual credit notification. A school board shall require the school district's high schools, if any, to inform all 11th and 12th grade students of dual enrollment and dual credit opportunities at public community colleges for qualified students.

(105 ILCS 5/34-18.49 new)

Sec. 34-18.49. Dual enrollment and dual credit notification. The board shall require the district's high schools to inform all 11th and 12th grade students of dual enrollment and dual credit opportunities at public community colleges for qualified students.".
