| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Marie | 4 | | Patricia Dwyer of River Forest; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Marie Dwyer was born in Chicago on December 24, | 6 | | 1925 to Frank and Nellie Walsh; she graduated from St. Angela's | 7 | | School, Trinity High School, and Rosary College; she married | 8 | | Tom Dwyer in 1954; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Marie Dwyer briefly taught in the Cicero public | 10 | | school system before becoming a stay-at-home mom; she returned | 11 | | to teaching and taught physically and mentally handicapped | 12 | | children in the Chicago public school system; she earned her | 13 | | master's degree from Northeastern University and finished her | 14 | | career at Shriner's Hospital, helping severely disabled | 15 | | children; after retirement, she worked part-time for Marshall | 16 | | Field's; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Marie Dwyer was affectionately known as "Gommy"; | 18 | | she enjoyed walking and delivering shortbread or cookies on her | 19 | | tricycle; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Marie Dwyer was preceded in death by her parents; | 21 | | her brother, Frank "Bub" Walsh; and her son-in-law, Alan |

| 2 | | WHEREAS, Marie Dwyer is survived by her children, Tom | 3 | | (Martha), Sean (Kay), Mary Jo, Molly (Brian), Liston, and JJ | 4 | | (Maureen); her 14 grandchildren; and her 9 | 5 | | great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | 7 | | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | 8 | | mourn the passing of Marie Patricia Dwyer, and extend our | 9 | | sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew | 10 | | and loved her; and be it further
| 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 12 | | presented to the family of Marie Dwyer as an expression of our | 13 | | deepest sympathy.
