| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Floyd L. | 4 | | Nolan of Peoria, who passed away on May 17, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Floyd Nolan was born in Peoria to Fred Earl and | 6 | | Dorothy Louise (Thompson) Nolan on July 29, 1934; he married | 7 | | Charlotte Jean Lonsdale on June 9, 1956; he later married | 8 | | Bernadine Hughes in Peoria on August 28, 1994; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Floyd Nolan worked many years as a self-employed | 10 | | plaster contractor; and | 11 | | WHEREAS, Floyd Nolan was very involved with his community | 12 | | and was his neighborhood advocate for over 20 years; he served | 13 | | as the President of the Day Spring Park Columbia Terrace North | 14 | | Neighborhood Association and was a member of the West Bluff | 15 | | Council and the Peoria Neighborhood Alliance Association; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Floyd Nolan was a member of the Twin Oaks | 17 | | Missionary Baptist Church in East Peoria; he enjoyed gardening | 18 | | and participated in community gardening; he also loved to fish; | 19 | | and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Floyd Nolan was preceded in death by his parents; |

| 1 | | three brothers; two sisters; and one great-grandson; and
| 2 | | WHEREAS, Floyd Nolan is survived by his second wife, | 3 | | Bernadine; his daughters, Cathleen (Harold) Ludolph, Sherrie | 4 | | Blasingim, and Paula Lutrell; his sons, Gerry (Betsy) Nolan and | 5 | | Bradley (Mary) Nolan; his stepdaughter, Drusilla (Robert) | 6 | | Stanard; 13 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and several | 7 | | nieces and nephews, including Robbin Lynn Kost, who helped in | 8 | | his care; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | 10 | | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | 11 | | mourn the passing of Floyd L. Nolan, and extend our sincere | 12 | | condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved | 13 | | him; and be it further
| 14 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 15 | | presented to the family of Floyd Nolan as an expression of our | 16 | | deepest sympathy.
