1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 763
2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 763 on page 2, by
3 replacing lines 11 through 22 with the following:
4         "(5) A person who (i) is employed by a participating
5     municipality that has both 30 or more full-time police
6     officers and 50 or more full-time firefighters and has not
7     established a fund under Article 3 or Article 4 of this
8     Code and (ii) is employed on a full-time basis by that
9     participating municipality to perform police duties or
10     firefighting and EMS duties; but only if the governing
11     authority of that municipality has approved sheriff's law
12     enforcement employee status for its police officer or
13     firefighter employees by adoption of an affirmative
14     resolution. The resolution must specify that SLEP status
15     shall be applicable to such employment occurring on or
16     after January 1, 2011. Such resolution shall be
17     irrevocable, but shall automatically terminate upon the
18     establishment of an Article 3 or 4 fund by the
