| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Beverly J. Neighbors of Carlinville, who | 4 | | passed away on November 27, 2014; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Beverly Neighbors was born in Decatur on July 29, | 6 | | 1947 to Russell and Lois (nee Cowger) Wilton; she graduated | 7 | | from Carlinville Community High School in 1965, where she | 8 | | served as a drum majorette; she then graduated from | 9 | | Scharfenberg Beauty School; she married Bill Neighbors on May | 10 | | 22, 1971 at Memorial Christian Church in Carlinville; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Beverly Neighbors worked as a beautician at the | 12 | | Friendship Nursing Home and in Springfield; she also worked as | 13 | | a secretary for the State of Illinois and in advertising and | 14 | | sales at the Macoupin County Enquirer-Democrat for 23 years; | 15 | | and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Beverly Neighbors was a member of Memorial | 17 | | Christian Church; she was an officer with The International | 18 | | Order of the Rainbow for Girls; she enjoyed antiquing, | 19 | | shopping, dancing, and spending time with her family and | 20 | | grandchildren; and
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Beverly Neighbors was preceded in death by her |

| 1 | | mother; her brother-in-law, Max Stewart; and her nephew, Brett | 2 | | Stewart; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Beverly Neighbors is survived by her husband, | 4 | | Bill; her father; her 2 daughters, Michelle (Rich) Hampton and | 5 | | Shawna (Craig) Poe; her grandchildren, Ainsley and Alexander | 6 | | Poe; her brother, Ron (Ruth) Wilton; her sister, Karen Stewart; | 7 | | and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 10 | | Beverly J. Neighbors, and extend our sincere condolences to her | 11 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 12 | | further
| 13 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 14 | | presented to the family of Beverly Neighbors as an expression | 15 | | of our deepest sympathy.
