| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Charles Willard Martin of Lakemoor, who | 4 | | passed away on December 17, 2014; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Charles Martin was born in Woodstock on January 1, | 6 | | 1938 to Charles Willard and Dorothy Rose (nee Netzel) Martin, | 7 | | Sr.; he served in the United States Air Force during the Korean | 8 | | War and married Janice Jones in Reno, Nevada on November 2, | 9 | | 1957; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Charles Martin retired after many years of | 11 | | dedicated service working for Lee and Ray Electric; he served | 12 | | the Village of Lakemoor as Chairman of Zoning and Planning, | 13 | | Electrical Inspector, and Police Chief; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Charles Martin was a member of American Legion | 15 | | Post #491; he enjoyed motorcycling, bicycling, gardening, | 16 | | listening to old-time radio, woodworking, traveling, and | 17 | | playing cards at the McHenry Senior Center; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Charles Martin was preceded in death by his | 19 | | parents; his daughter, Cathy Martin; his son, Michael Martin; | 20 | | his 2 granddaughters, Rebecca L. and Rachel A. Browne; and his | 21 | | grandson, Charles Willard Martin, IV; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Charles Martin is survived by his wife, Janice; | 2 | | his children, Charles Willard Martin, III, Linda (Leonard) | 3 | | Browne, and Carol Hoffman; his grandchildren, Bret Hoffman, | 4 | | Steven Hoffman, Christine Martin, Lindsay Browne, Lauren | 5 | | Browne, and Ryan Panenka; his great-grandchildren, Charlotte | 6 | | Martin, Violet Martin, and Charles Willard Martin, V; and his | 7 | | brother Warren R. (Gertrude) Martin; therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 10 | | Charles Willard Martin, and extend our sincere condolences to | 11 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 12 | | further
