| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Raymond Cooper of Harvard, who passed | 4 | | away on April 2, 2015; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Cooper was born on August 6, 1932 in | 6 | | Richmond; his parents were James Raymond and Ann (nee Vermett) | 7 | | Cooper; he married Lillian Greer on November 13, 1956 in | 8 | | Woodstock; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Cooper served his country as a member of | 10 | | the United States Army during the Korean War; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Cooper was a farmer for many years; | 12 | | following his retirement, he became a greeter at Walmart; and | 13 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Cooper enjoyed gardening, collecting | 14 | | coins, working on lawnmowers, and raising pigeons and rabbits; | 15 | | and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Cooper was preceded in death by his | 17 | | parents; his spouse, Lillian; 2 children, Kenneth Vermett and | 18 | | Penny Archambalt; and 3 siblings, William, Wayne, and Robert | 19 | | Cooper; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Cooper is survives by 4 children, Debra | 2 | | (Glen) Whaples, David (Nancy) Vermett, Kimberly Cooper, and | 3 | | Benny Cooper; his special friend, Cindy Davis Nolan; several | 4 | | grandchildren; a great-grandchild; 8 siblings, Joanne Goff, | 5 | | June Huff, Richard (Sharon) Cooper, Jack (Donna) Cooper, Ronald | 6 | | (Alexander) Cooper, Elsie (Earl) Cooper, James (Janet) Cooper, | 7 | | and Clifford (Cathy) Cooper; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, | 8 | | and nephews; therefore, be it
