| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Nancy J. Anderson of Richmond, who passed | 4 | | away on July 13, 2015; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Nancy Anderson was born on April 10, 1934 in | 6 | | Detroit, Michigan; her parents were Albert and Mary (nee | 7 | | Tobias) Tomasek; she married Ray J. Anderson on June 11, 1955 | 8 | | in Detroit; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Nancy Anderson was a graduate of Redford High | 10 | | School in Detroit, graduating in 1952, and worked at the | 11 | | National Bank of Detroit during and after high school; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Nancy Anderson and her husband lived in Norfolk, | 13 | | Virginia while he served on the USS Mississippi and Nancy | 14 | | worked for the National Bank & Trust Company; they subsequently | 15 | | moved to the Glenview Naval Air Station, then to the Naval Base | 16 | | in Long Beach, California while Ray served on the USS Saint | 17 | | Paul in the Pacific Ocean; they later went to the United States | 18 | | Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland before moving to Ann | 19 | | Arbor, Michigan; they then moved to Richmond, where she worked | 20 | | for the family-owned Belden Oil Company and the United States | 21 | | Postal Service for 22 years; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Nancy Anderson was a member of the First Church of | 2 | | Christ, Scientist in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin; she served as | 3 | | president of the Richmond Garden Club; she served as a Girl | 4 | | Scout leader; she was also a member of the Philanthropic | 5 | | Educational Organization, a Rotary Ann of the Richmond Rotary | 6 | | Club, and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Nancy Anderson is survived by a daughter, Kristin | 8 | | Anderson; a son, Mark (Grace) Anderson; a granddaughter, Emma | 9 | | Esmond; a sister, Sally (Jack) Broderick; a niece, Andrea | 10 | | Broderick; and her extra special friend for 69 years, Joyce | 11 | | Wilson; therefore, be it
| 12 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 13 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her | 14 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Nancy J. Anderson; and | 15 | | be it further
| 16 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 17 | | presented to the family of Nancy Anderson as an expression of | 18 | | our sympathy.
