| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Roger Leland Allison of Port Byron, who | 4 | | passed away on August 17, 2015; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Roger Allison was born on December 9, 1932 in | 6 | | Moline; his parents were Walter and Ellanora Ryan Allison; he | 7 | | married Shirley Ann Thompson on October 3, 1953 at Fairfield | 8 | | Church in Port Byron; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Roger Allison attended Wells School in East | 10 | | Moline, rural Port Byron schools, and Port Byron High School; | 11 | | and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Roger Allison served as a military policeman at | 13 | | Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas from 1953 to 1955; and | 14 | | WHEREAS, Roger Allison was a partner in the John Deere and | 15 | | Chevrolet dealership in Hillsdale; he also drove a petroleum | 16 | | fuel truck for FS until 1983, when he retired to his farm; he | 17 | | then farmed for another 10 years; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Roger Allison was preceded in death by his | 19 | | parents; a brother, James Allison; and 2 younger brothers who | 20 | | died at an early age; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Roger Allison is survived by his wife, Shirley; | 2 | | his children, Bradford (Laurie) Allison, Beth (Steve) | 3 | | Stratton, and Brian (Katie) Allison, grandchildren, Amanda | 4 | | (Jason) Floming, Bradford Joshua (Melissa) Allison, Kyle and | 5 | | Ryan Stratton, and Grace, Jacob, and Emily Allison; 5 | 6 | | great-grandchildren; and a sister, Doris Smith; therefore, be | 7 | | it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | 10 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Roger Leland Allison; | 11 | | and be it further
| 12 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 13 | | presented to the family of Roger Allison as an expression of | 14 | | our sympathy.
