| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Harold Joseph Thomeczek, Sr. of Godfrey, | 4 | | who passed away on November 22, 2015; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Harold Thomeczek, Sr. was born in Trenton on April | 6 | | 6, 1933 to Roman "Tommy" and Anne G. (Cassler) Thomeczek; he | 7 | | played football for the University of Missouri and was drafted | 8 | | by the NFL, but chose to serve his country in the United States | 9 | | Air Force; he married Judy Nance on May 2, 1958 in Sacramento, | 10 | | California; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Harold Thomeczek, Sr. retired as the owner of the | 12 | | Thomeczek Oil Company and Pit Stop Corporation; he served on | 13 | | the Board of Directors for the OSF St. Anthony's and Lewis and | 14 | | Clark Community College Foundations; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Harold Thomeczek, Sr. was a member of St. Ambrose | 16 | | Catholic Church in Godfrey; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Harold Thomeczek, Sr. was preceded in death by his | 18 | | parents; his wife, Judy; his 2 sons, Thomas Michael Thomeczek | 19 | | and Harold J. Thomeczek, Jr.; and his brother, Raymond | 20 | | Thomeczek; and

(Jodie) Thomeczek; | 4 | | his 11 grandchildren, Andrew, Maddie, and Abby Newcomb, Karra, | 5 | | Nyssa, and Kynlee Adams, and Roman, Owen, Addison, Caleb, and | 6 | | Drew Thomeczek; and his 2 sisters, Jean Hauck and Barbara | 7 | | Kimball; therefore, be it
