| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Robert R. Sandquist of St. Charles, who | 4 | | passed away on December 15, 2015; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Robert Sandquist was born in Geneva on July 16, | 6 | | 1934 to Oscar and Germaine Sandquist; he graduated from Geneva | 7 | | High School in 1952 and started his career as a carpenter, | 8 | | building custom homes; he married Jeanne in 1958 and was | 9 | | drafted into the United States Army, serving 2 years at Fort | 10 | | Leonardwood, Missouri; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, In 1961, Robert Sandquist returned to his hometown | 12 | | of Geneva and started his lifelong business of 57 years; as | 13 | | owner of Geneva Home Builders, he built over 300 custom homes; | 14 | | his favorite job was building the addition to the United | 15 | | Methodist Church of Geneva in 1981; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Robert Sandquist enjoyed collecting literature | 17 | | pertaining to classic cars and trains and he loved anything | 18 | | Ford made; his greatest joy was his home, family, and | 19 | | gardening; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Robert Sandquist was preceded in death by his | 21 | | parents; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Robert Sandquist is survived by his loving wife of | 2 | | 58 years, Jeanne; his 2 children, Deborah (Bill) Murphy and | 3 | | Steven (Heidi) Sandquist; and his 5 grandchildren, Alyssa, | 4 | | Aaron, Abigail Murphy, Hailey, and Hayden Sandquist; | 5 | | therefore, be it
| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 7 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 8 | | Robert R. Sandquist, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 9 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 10 | | further
| 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 12 | | presented to the family of Robert Sandquist as an expression of | 13 | | our deepest sympathy.
