| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Alice Pucin of North Chicago, who passed | 4 | | away on November 6, 2015; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Alice Pucin was born in Phoenix, Arizona on | 6 | | November 23, 1918 to Alice Krueger and James S. Jackson; she | 7 | | graduated from Waukegan Township High School in 1936 and | 8 | | attended Lake Forest College; she married Michael J. "Jack" | 9 | | Pucin; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Alice Pucin was employed at Chicago Hardware and | 11 | | Foundry from before World War II to shortly after; she also | 12 | | worked for U.S. Steel in North Chicago as a secretary; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Alice Pucin was an avid gardener; she enjoyed | 14 | | sewing, painting, and traveling the United States and Canada; | 15 | | she was a member of the Chicago Art Institute, the Council on | 16 | | Foreign Relations, and Fourth Presbyterian Church of Chicago; | 17 | | she was a former member of the North Chicago Library Board; she | 18 | | pursued her love of Chicago and divided her time between a | 19 | | condo in Chicago and her family home at 15th and Park in North | 20 | | Chicago; she was a loyal Chicago Bears and Bulls fan; and
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Alice Pucin was preceded in death by her husband, |

| 3 | | WHEREAS, Alice Pucin is survived by her children, Kitty | 4 | | (Stein) Andreassen and Ardith Pucin (Bill Losch); her | 5 | | granddaughters, Kristine, Stephanie, and Caroline; her | 6 | | great-granddaughter, Nora; her nieces, JoyceAnn, Susan, and | 7 | | Sara; her nephews, David and Donald; and her dear friend, Nancy | 8 | | Baltus; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | Alice Pucin, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, | 12 | | friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
| 13 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 14 | | presented to the family of Alice Pucin as an expression of our | 15 | | deepest sympathy.
