| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Jonathan Alan Curry, who passed away on | 4 | | January 21, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jonathan Curry was born on February 7, 1947 in | 6 | | Danville; his parents were Ralph D. and Marilyn (nee Etherton) | 7 | | Curry; he married Mary Kay Wright on August 21, 1971 in Alton; | 8 | | and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Jonathan Curry lived the majority of his childhood | 10 | | in Hoopeston; he went on to attend Sterling High School in | 11 | | Sterling, earn his Bachelor of Science in Education from | 12 | | Illinois State University and his Master of Science in | 13 | | Education from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Jonathan Curry was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul | 15 | | Catholic Church; he was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan and had a | 16 | | great love of reading, mainly history books; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Jonathan Curry was a teacher and school | 18 | | administrator in the Alton School District for 33 years, | 19 | | retiring in 2002; after retirement, he was a substitute teacher | 20 | | until 2010; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Jonathan Curry is survived by his wife, Mary Kay; | 2 | | his sons, Todd Curry, Samuel (Debra) Curry, and Joel (Cynthia) | 3 | | Curry; his grandchildren, Abigail, Annaliese, Kathryn, | 4 | | Alannah, Austin, and Hannah; he was also a devoted husband, | 5 | | father, and grandfather who will be sadly missed by his aunt, | 6 | | Joyce; his uncles, Michael and David; and his many cousins; | 7 | | therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | 10 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Jonathan Alan Curry; | 11 | | and be it further
| 12 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 13 | | presented to the family of Jonathan Curry as an expression of | 14 | | our sympathy.
