| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of H. Rita Beltzhoover of Joliet, who passed | 4 | | away on August 8, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Rita Beltzhoover was born to Czechoslovakian | 6 | | immigrants, Mike and Mary Ruscin, in West Frankfort on December | 7 | | 9, 1933; she married Edward Beltzhoover on August 28, 1954; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Rita Beltzhoover worked as a day care provider and | 9 | | cared for many children in her home for over 30 years; she was | 10 | | a dedicated volunteer at St. Raymond's Church, Joliet Central | 11 | | High School, and St. Francis Academy; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, In 1994, at 61 years of age, Rita Beltzhoover | 13 | | earned her Associate Degree in Child Development; she enjoyed | 14 | | family vacations to Cocoa Beach, Florida and RV trips to Alaska | 15 | | with her husband and friends; she cherished the time she spent | 16 | | with her children and grandchildren; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Rita Beltzhoover was preceded in death by her | 18 | | husband, Edward, and her parents; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Rita Beltzhoover is survived by her children, | 20 | | Dirk, Marianne, Eric (Laurie), Carolyn (David) Johanson, |

| 1 | | Christine, Alex (Janet), and Gretchen (Rolf) Troha; her | 2 | | grandchildren, Jon Beltzhoover, Ryan and Rachel Beltzhoover, | 3 | | Chris, Matt, Tim, and Sara Johanson, Samantha Greben, Conner | 4 | | Klinger, Elizabeth Beltzhoover, Madeline, Luke, and Erik and | 5 | | Ingrid Troha; and her siblings, Margaret McDonald, John Ruscin, | 6 | | Alice Johnston, and Mary Ruscin; therefore, be it
| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 8 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 9 | | H. Rita Beltzhoover, and extend our sincere condolences to her | 10 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 11 | | further
