SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

105 ILCS 5/27-20.7 new

Amends the School Code. Requires each school district to require that all students in grade 6 receive education on work ethics, including, but not limited to, learning how to be reliable, be professional, take initiative, be positive, respect authority, and have integrity.

AN ACT concerning education.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section 27-20.7 as follows:

(105 ILCS 5/27-20.7 new)

Sec. 27-20.7. Work ethics curriculum. Each school district that maintains elementary grades shall require that all students in grade 6 receive education on work ethics, including, but not limited to, learning how to be reliable, be professional, take initiative, be positive, respect authority, and have integrity.
